Challenge of Standing Out on the Shelf

In a saturated beverage market, merely capturing the shopper’s attention was no longer enough—the challenge was to move them emotionally. Topochico was looking for a metal display stand that could achieve three goals: be eye-catching, align with their visual identity, and reflect their sustainable purpose.

Julio César Sánchez, Director of Waste Collection at Coca‑Cola FEMSA, clearly articulated the mission:

“At Coca‑Cola FEMSA, we shape the future by reaffirming our commitment to contributing to a circular economy through innovation, focusing on sustainable design, reuse, and recycling.”

The challenge was to design a display stand that spoke of innovation without losing authenticity—one that would stand out at retail while resonating with practical and ecological values.

Purposeful Metal Solution

AIM Worldwide developed a floor metal display stand for Topochico, taking into account:

  • A tubular structure of ¾″ and sheet metal of 20 and 18 gauge, coated with yellow electrostatic paint—the brand’s emblematic color.
  • Dimensions of 40 cm (width) × 130 cm (height) × 28 cm (depth) with a capacity for 64 cans of 355 ml arranged in 4 levels.
  • A visually impactful graphic package: full-color printed header with die-cut, adhesive vinyl, valances, and side vinyl cutouts.

This design is a fusion of form, function, and sustainability: the electrostatic paint minimizes toxic compounds, the vinyl is easily recyclable, and digital printing processes reduce waste. Additionally, the display is future-ready for the integration of cooling or digital elements, strengthening its ecological narrative.

José Ramón Martínez, Director of Corporate Affairs at Coca‑Cola FEMSA, reinforced this vision:

“A World Without Waste… improving the design of our packaging, increasing post-consumption collection, and promoting a culture of recycling.”

Thus, the display was not just a product showcase—it told a story: modernity, brand identity, and environmental awareness from every angle.

Results That Last

Although no exact figures were disclosed, the impact was tangible:

  • Aisle Magnetism: Self-service centers reported that the display captured shoppers' attention and was even spontaneously photographed and shared on social media.
  • Sampling Booster: Some locations used it as a mobile cold beverage station, combining product display with brand activation.
  • Perceived Value: The metallic finish, vibrant colors, and premium graphics elevated the perceived quality of the product, reinforcing the emotional connection with the brand.

The display fully met its objectives: it was eye-catching, robust, consistent with Topochico’s aesthetics, and reflected a purposeful brand identity. Additionally, it opened the door for future initiatives in ecological, technological, and modular development.
