Electrolit is a premium hydration beverage, scientifically formulated and rapidly expanding in the U.S. thanks to its broad distribution network and its strong positioning as a functional drink.
Electrolit faced a daily challenge on the retail floor: to have an eye-catching, eco-friendly display that could step outside conventional refrigerators and capture shoppers’ attention in high-traffic supermarket areas.
The goal was clear: maximize trial and impulse purchases without losing the ideal consumption temperature or the brand consistency needed for short-term promotional campaigns.

Using sustainable materials such as printed cardboard and lightweight metal structures, Electrolit developed and produced Coolios—refrigerated display units designed specifically for rehydration beverages.

The in-store activation turned high-traffic aisles into discovery zones. The displays’ bright, flavor-based color palettes created a visually striking, memorable brand presence that stood out from traditional refrigerator layouts.
Hybrid units combining cardboard exteriors with metal basket sides allowed multiple product variants to be displayed together, encouraging impulse purchases and multi-pack selections.
The mobility of the Coolio units meant they could “follow the shopper”—from store entrances to main corridors and checkout areas—ensuring brand visibility at every decision point.
Their 360° printed surfaces acted as micro billboards, reinforcing messaging around recovery, hydration, and flavor.
Operating within 1°C to 6°C, these eco-coolers preserved Electrolit’s signature cold-drink experience without requiring backroom storage. The concept proved that refrigeration could be sustainable, mobile, and promotional, meeting all goals defined in the first phase.
As a result, Electrolit not only stood out from conventional refrigerators, but also elevated its trial rates, brand awareness, and in-store visibility, all through a design that retailers appreciated for its plug-and-play simplicity, personalization potential, and eco-conscious materials.
